Hi, I've never used an eye shadow base either, but I'm leaning towards it. My gel eyeliner tends to smear and turn my eyes to raccoon eyes at the end of the day. I'm wondering if wearing an eye shadow base will help with that. Also, do you wear an all-over primer at all? and if so, do you just skip the eye section? or wear it under/over the base?

ReplyDeleteI included some tips to prevent raccoon eyes from developing in my most recent posting above. I believe that an eye shadow base will help to keep your shadow in place and liner. What kind of liner do you use, liquid, powder or pencil? I currently do not use an all over primer. The only primers I use are the eye shadow bases and eyelash primers. My understanding of all over primers is that they help to keep the face make-up in place. I would avoid using it on the eyes since that area is more sensitive than the skin all over the face. The eye shadow base should be enough of a primer for your shadows.
